Abstract

The budget determines how much funds and activities will be spent, ie what public needs will be and how far they will be met. Properly drafted and executed budget gives citizens answers to questions: Where is their money spent? Who will benefit from it? How much does it cost? …. Answers to these and other questions regarding the budget of the Republic of Serbia were not in the years behind us were accurate and accurate. Budget transparency, as well as citizens’ interest in these issues, was low.
