Summary

The fourth industrial revolution, along with all the positive aspects such as improved quality of life, accelerated scientific development and new jobs, brings challenges in the control and application of new technologies. The creation of new jobs leads to the abolition of some old ones. The first and key thing for strengthening the performance, not only of the labor market but also of the national economy as a whole, is to improve the supply of labor in terms of enriching the knowledge of both the unemployed and employed, which of course implies significant investments in human capital. The state should focus on maximally encouraging these investments, which are the most profitable in modern times, ie in the last decades. They are imperative for our circumstances, especially due to the great erosion of human capital in the last twenty years. Investing in human capital is the fastest way to increase employment and reduce poverty.

Keywords: labor market, human capital, digitalization, new technologies, quality.
