The paper discusses the question of the role of managing bodies (board of directors and supervisory board) in strengthening the competitive advantage of companies. In addition to the previously established features of the board as the “value creator”, they should have additional properties such as possessing communicative skills and the ability to achieve the maximum effect from the interaction of their members. Their participation in formulating the strategy of the company can also be seen in the function of strengthening the competitive advantage of companies.
